Bio:
Amla Singh is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Substitute Teacher in Illinois.  She has been providing counseling services as well as academic support to students and clients of diverse populations.  Amla has worked as an Assistant Teacher at various schools providing academic support and behavioral therapy to regular and special education students.  She has experience teaching and assisting with the STEM programs locally.  Predominantly, her focus has been on remedial tutoring with elementary students.  However, her experience extends to assisting high functioning Autistic students, and gifted students in the regular classrooms.  Amla speaks the Hindi and Urdu languages with fluency and offers her services to learners of the English language in the academic setting.  Her volunteer work includes the entertainment of the senior citizen group with live musical performances.  Amla migrated to the Chicagoland area from the blue lagoons of the Fiji Islands.  Her desire for learning has her exploring new lands including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, Dubai and hopefully many more.  She has immense interest in music and devotes much time in learning how to sing!
