Tracey Ovsey

Tutor

Bio:

My name is Tracey Ovsey and I am originally from St. Louis, MO.  I reside in Arlington Heights, IL.  I live with my husband Victor and my daughter Lauren, who has Down syndrome.  My accomplishments include:  teaching English to Chinese American Students and Russian American Students, teaching over 30 years in Early Childhood Education and working one on one with students on beginning reading skills as well as handwriting skills.  The majority of my teaching has been in a Head Start setting.  With that being said, I do speak polite Spanish. I have taken seminars on Handwriting without Tears, Sensory Integration, Conscious Discipline and Behave Your Best.

In my spare time, I am involved in a book club reading all different types of genres.  My favorite is Historical Fiction.  I also crochet; watch musicals with my daughter, and exercise. I love to improve myself by taking educational and self improvement courses.  My newest endeavor is obtaining a TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate.
