Tutor

Bio:
Hi! My name is Kevin Villagran; I overall have 5 years of experience tutoring school children from almost any grade of K-12 in Math and Language Arts.  I also have previous experience working with non-profit organizations and proctoring examinations as well. I first started tutoring as a volunteer for elementary school students; ever since I have been able to do it professionally. Throughout my years of tutoring, I have found that it is best to adapt to what your student needs, in terms of what they need to learn, what skills they need to practice in order to reach that understanding, and what they need to keep their confidence up. I encourage my students to practice the skills they need to use so that they can improve their confidence in finding the answers they need themselves, and I help guide them along their path. I feel proud of my students when I see that they figure out a problem or question that they did not understand before.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Whittier College. I enjoy learning new skills, as I recently have received a TESOL Certificate from Arizona State University; I am also currently learning Spanish and Japanese as foreign languages as well. In my free time, I like to: play video games, watch anime(Japanese Animation) and online streams, participate in language exchanges, exercise, and learn using books and podcasts.
