Bio:
I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Marist High School in 2012. Two years later, I earned my Bachelors in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in general Physics from DePaul University. I’ve since earned a Master’s Certificate of Public Health from Loyola University and will be starting medical school in the fall of 2019. Throughout high school, I worked as a nanny and homework helper for elementary and middle school-aged children. For the past two semesters, I’ve volunteered as a peer mentor and tutor for university students studying microbiology where I received rave reviews for my ability to explain concepts clearly and ensure students feel comfortable asking questions. Because scoring above the 95th percentile on the ACT and MCAT was so crucial to my success, I feel passionate about helping students reach their full potential on these and similar exams. When not working, I spend much of my time at an unrestricted food pantry that I helped establish in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. In my spare time, I love working on DIY projects/crafting, backcountry camping, cooking, visiting museums, and relaxing my two cats.
