Bio:
My name is Patty Kaszynski and I am so excited to be working for iAchieve Learning! I was born on the south side of Chicago and have lived there most of my life. I now reside in Mount Prospect, IL.
I have been teaching and tutoring for over 30 years and recently retired from the Chicago Public Schools. I have taught Special Education, Physical Education, Library Science, Reading, Writing, and Language Arts for grades K-6. I have also tutored math before and after school for grades K-6.

I like to begin finding out my students’ interests and strengths before teaching or tutoring them. Also, everyone learns differently, so I begin my first lesson with a brief interest and learning inventory. My passion is writing, and I provide some type of writing activity to all sessions (even math lessons)! I strive to be sure every tutoring session is productive and exciting! I genuinely enjoy working with children and am caring, reliable, responsible, energetic, and enthusiastic.

Way back in the stone age (when I first attended college), I received an athletic/academic scholarship in my freshman year and played college and high school softball.

I have many interests, including going to see/hear live music, working on puzzles (crossword and jigsaw), reading just about anything, and watching horror movies (although you won’t see me visiting any haunted houses)! I also like to exercise, spend time with family and friends, and travel with my boyfriend!

Tutoring Subjects:
General Education grades K-6 (Math, Reading, Writing, English, Social Studies, Science) and Time-management/study skills for all ages.

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago
Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago
