Silvia Cervantes

Hi! I am Silvia Cervantes and I am a recent graduate of California State University, Fresno also known as Fresno State. I am from Fresno, California where we are just hours from both the beach and mountains. I am currently a substitute teacher and have been substituting for grades 6th-12th grade. I enjoy particularly tutoring for math typically at various levels. I have tutored in the past in high school math and general subjects also tutored both Calculus I and Microeconomics at the college level. I have been tutoring online since 2018 and I can say this was so helpful when switching to the majority being online. One of the things I hold myself with much pride is being able to connect with students beyond academics. I enjoy getting to know others and helping them on their academic journey to being independent learners. Moreover, some of my interests include hiking, site seeing, reading, going to the gym, cooking, spending time with loved ones, and helping others. I love the outdoors and getting in touch with nature. I believe you can always learn from someone else and through putting yourself in the uncomfortable! The quote I live by is “You live, you learn.”
