Start Having Your Child Tutored Now for the Upcoming School Year
By the time your child walks into their classroom for the new school year, it will probably have been about six months since they were in such a setting. With the COVID quarantine that was put into place in March, your child has been missing-in-action at their school for about half a year.
As of right now, it appears that the new school year will be starting up on time. But as we all know, that can change at a moment’s notice. In any case, you must ensure that your kid is ready for the challenge. Six months off is a long time. And even though the children have been doing some online learning and you have worked with them yourself, I think we all realized that nothing can take the place of learning in an actual classroom for young children. Rather than have them walk through that classroom doorway unprepared as they have forgotten much of what they learned over the last year, now would be the perfect time to get a tutor to work with them a couple of times a week to refresh their memory.
Options
There are options to consider when figuring out the best tutor for your child. After all, you want to put them in the best situation where they will learn the most. And putting out a post on social media asking who wants to tutor your kid may not be the best way to approach it.
Tutor Them Yourself
As an educator, I can’t tell you how many times parents have told me their kids just don’t listen to them when they are trying to help out with homework. You might have experienced this during the quarantine yourself. However, if you have a child that works well with your tutoring style, you can definitely get them ready for the upcoming school year on your own.
Hire Another Student That Is a Few Years Older
Children often can get tutored better by an older student. Plus, the older student will know exactly what is in store academically for your child in the near future. If you can find a kid you trust to effectively tutor your child, it may work out well for everyone.
Contact a Teacher
Some educators like to tutor during the summer just because they do not have a whole lot going on. It is one of the benefits of being a teacher… having the summer off! You may be lucky to land a professional teacher to tutor your child at a good rate. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
Tutoring Online
As there are no distance restrictions, you can often find the best tutors online. For instance, if you know your child is behind in their math, find a tutor that specializes in this subject. The best thing is they can live a mile away or a thousand miles away. It doesn’t matter when all the tutoring is happening strictly online.
In fact, iAchieve offers online tutoring that will get your child prepared for the upcoming school year and keep them safe from COVID as there will not be any in-person interaction. Our tutors can teach any subject or grade level so do not hesitate to contact us and we can immediately get a schedule in place for your child’s benefit.
