With winter break just arriving for most elementary and high school students, it provides the kids a chance to destress and enjoy the holidays. Still, rather than letting the children binge on streaming services or play video games for hours daily, they could also work on a bit of learning. Educational apps are being introduced to the public every day. These apps cover all subject levels and topics. All you have to do is find the right ones to benefit the individual student. If a child is struggling in math, quickly search for math apps. Is your student not loving history? It may be because it is presented so dryly in most history textbooks. However, some apps will make history come to life where it will feel more like entertainment than learning. A ten-minute search here and there will leave you with enough apps (plenty of them being free) to occupy your free time during the next couple of weeks. 

Learn a New Skill

Students in high school are pretty close to joining the workforce full-time. They may not be learning school subjects, but they will learn something that could put money into their bank account. Winter break could allow them to get a foot in the door with a company or business and earn some cash simultaneously. 

Often, companies need a little holiday help to keep up with the demands. Introducing yourself could land you a part-time job. Even if they do not have a help wanted sign on the window, approach them and see if they are hiring or willing to allow you to learn a new skill.
