Benefits of Summer Tutoring
1. IDENTIFY LEARNING GAPS FROM PREVIOUS YEAR
If your son/daughter had difficulty with material that they learned during the school year, the summer would be the best time to make sure that they go over those topics and fill in the gaps. We can pair you up with one of our tutors and they will be able to identify those missing pieces and help your son/daughter really understand all of the curriculum. You don’t want them to start the school year off with information that is missing and be behind all of the other students.
2. GET AHEAD FOR NEXT YEAR
When school lets out in June, many students don’t pick up a book at all during the summer and often forget a lot of the material that they learned the previous year. Get ahead of the class by working with a tutor! Our tutors can provide practice with reading, math, writing, and other subjects to ensStudents studying in a parkure that students won’t forget what they have already learned. They can also teach new material that will be taught the following school year so that students are already up to speed when August rolls around. Why not start the school year off on a good foot and be ahead of the entire class?!
3. REPEATING A CLASS OR TAKING A CLASS TO GET AHEAD
Some students need to take a summer school class because they either failed that class during the school year or maybe they want to take a class to get ahead for the following school year. Summer school classes can be very fast paced and intense. We can help ease that anxiety by having one of our tutors work with your son/daughter to guarantee that they will understand the material they’re learning.
4. ADJUSTING TO A GRADE LEVEL CHANGE
If your son/daughter is making the leap from elementary school to junior high or from junior high to high school, summer tutoring can make that switch easier and smoother. Some kids get anxious about going to a new school and what they’re going to be learning. Our tutors can provide the guidance and reassurance to make sure that your son/daughter is well prepared, both academically and emotionally.
5. TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE ACT AND SAT
The summer offers a great time for students to prepare for major tests such as the ACT and SAT. We can help create a flexible schedule that works best for their summer. Students can work at a pace that’s good for them and that in turn will help decrease stress of trying to study during the school year.
