Homeschooling has never been more popular in America as it is right now. And there are legitimate reasons why parents choose to teach their children at home rather than send them off to public school. According to the latest statistics, about ten percent of all children in the United States in kindergarten through high school are being homeschooled nowadays. Just two years ago, only about three to four percent of children were being homeschooled. The numbers are not going to slow down anytime soon either.

The reasons parents are homeschooling their children are based on issues that society is now facing. And these issues are not going away anytime soon. Here are just a few motivating factors for parents investing their time and turning to homeschool their children. 

 

The Threat of COVID

The new school year has started, and COVID is making its presence known for another tumultuous year in the classroom.

 

To mask or not to mask? That is the question. 

 

Some parents are for everyone to wear masks, and some parents are against their children wearing masks. 

 

In addition, depending on the latest reports, children can contract COVID. Of course, depending on other reports, it is unlikely that they do. The “science” changes every day, and it depends on who is speaking at the moment. It’s tough to figure out what is legit and what is not. 

 

Who can blame parents for choosing to forgo all this craziness and go with homeschooling their children instead? Many of the schools across the nation aren’t conducive to raising respectful children.
