Vocabulary Foldables are Great For:
- Learning definitions
- Understanding concepts
- Memorizing formulas
Steps for How to Create Vocabulary Foldables
Step #1:
Create a list of around 8-10 words, concepts or formulas that you need to know.
Step #2:
Take a piece of paper and write a title at the top. Colored paper makes this more fun but any paper will do! Then, fold the piece of paper in half, vertically.
Step #3:
On the left side of the paper, cut slits to the center crease that are about 1 inch apart.
Step #4:
On the right side, write the definition of the word or concept or the formula that you need to know. Fold the left side over the right side and then write the word, concept or name of the formula on the top, as shown on the right.
Vocabulary Foldables are a fun and easy way for students of all ages to practice their basic concepts and definitions. Students can quiz themselves or have a friend or family member try quizzing them.
