Charles Zito

Tutor

Bio:
Charles is a passionate and energetic instructor who utilizes a coach-like approach to working with students. Charles spent three years teaching college writing and five years teaching high school English and math classes before settling into his niche as a private tutor, a profession he has enjoyed for the past 12 years. While his focus in college was English literature, he asserts that math has always been his strongest subject.

Charles is known for employing humor in his enthusiastic teaching style, and his students are grateful for his personal approach to teaching. He has helped numerous students surpass their goal scores on college admissions tests, and he relishes the opportunity to work with students of all ages on their academics. Due to his teaching background, Charles is very familiar with students who have IEPs in place.

Fun Fact: Charles lettered in three sports in high school (soccer, football, track), and he continues to play soccer and football in competitive leagues today.

Charles graduated magna cum laude with a BA in English from Florida Atlantic University and went on to attain an MA in English literature. Charles was awarded one of three “special” teaching assistantships given for academic merits, and he taught two sections of college writing during each semester of graduate school.

Charles currently works as a middle school math teacher, and he reaches students around the country through online video conferencing.
