Dave Uhrich

Bio:
Dave Uhrich was born in Chicago and began playing Guitar at 11 years of age. After receiving his degree from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Dave moved on to become a member of its faculty, as well as a faculty member of many other Illinois colleges such as, Roosevelt University, Elmhurst College and Chicago State University.

In addition to spending many years as a teacher in the college world, Dave regularly gives instructional clinics in all 50 states, as well as internationally in places like Germany, England and Austria. He has also been a guest seminar instructor at the Berklee College of music in Boston, MA., G.I.T., the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California. Dave has also won the ‘Chicago’s Hottest Guitarist’ competition an amazing 5 times! He has been awarded a ‘Radio Top Ten’ Award and was nominated for an ‘American Jazz Masters Fellowship’ awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Classic Rock Magazine (April 2007) placed Dave in the list of ‘100 Wildest Guitar Heroes’ at 31.

An accomplished writer, composer and performer, Dave has done motion picture and television work as well as commercial studio work for McDonald’s, Nintendo, BASF, Coors, Kelloggs, Mazda and Pontiac. Additionally, Dave has had compositions performed by The London Philharmonic Orchestra.

He is a long time product endorser and served as a product specialist for Ibanez Guitars. He also is an endorser for Laney Amplifiers, Seymour Duncan and Rocktron and has extensively toured and performed all over the world.
