Mark Ayob
Bio:
Hi! My name is Mark Ayob, and I’m originally from New Jersey. I’m currently a student at Washington University in St. Louis studying Psychology and Pre-Medicine with a strong academic background in math and the sciences. Outside the classroom, I’m deeply involved in mentoring and teaching, and supporting students has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience.
I began tutoring after realizing how much I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that once felt overwhelming. I’ve worked with learners of all ages, from middle-school math students to high-schoolers preparing for the SAT/ACT. I love breaking down difficult ideas into simple, understandable steps and watching students experience those “lightbulb moments.”
Some of my accomplishments include scoring 800 on SAT Math and 1580 overall, a 36 on the ACT, completing upper-level science coursework, and tutoring students who later achieved significant jumps in both classroom grades and standardized test scores. My interests extend beyond academics; I’m passionate about psychology, child development, and how students learn best, which helps me tailor my tutoring to different learning styles.
Overall, I’m dedicated to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel motivated, capable, and genuinely excited to grow.
