Ethan Martin
Bio:
Hi! My name is Ethan Martin, and I grew up in Columbus, Georgia. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and clarity in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Psychology and Chemistry from Duke University.
I have experience tutoring math and science subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, and Chemistry, as well as working one-on-one with students preparing for standardized testing like the SAT, ACT, and the MCAT. I focus heavily on strategy, pacing, and test-day confidence so students feel calm and in control. I also draw from my own MCAT preparation experience to support students in advanced science coursework and study planning.
Professionally, I have worked as a project manager at a healthcare software company and as a biomedical research assistant at Mercer University School of Medicine, where I mentored students and helped simplify complex scientific concepts. My teaching style is structured, supportive, and student-centered, and I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks.
Outside of tutoring, I am currently training to become a pilot and enjoy playing guitar and strategy games like chess and poker.
